LONGi Solar Panels

LONGi solar panels, installed across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Ipswich

We install LONGi modules and almost nothing else. That is a deliberate
choice, and it is the single biggest reason our systems keep producing what
the paperwork says they will. LONGi is a Tier 1 module manufacturer by the
industry’s own supply-chain rankings, and when a panel fails in year twelve
there is a company with the manufacturing history and the balance sheet to
stand behind the claim.

The module we fit

Our default is the LONGi Hi-MO X10 Explorer 475 W, which
sits at 23.3% module efficiency. For a Brisbane rooftop that
matters more than the headline number suggests.

  • 475 W in a smaller format. A higher-wattage module means
fewer panels for the same capacity. On a roof that is already too small for
the system you actually need, panel count is the constraint, not roof area
    in square metres.
  • HPBC 2.0 back-contact cells. The contacts sit on the
rear of the cell, so nothing shades the light-facing surface. More of the
    light that arrives is converted.
  • Temperature coefficient of −0.26% per °C. Panel
ratings are measured at 25 °C. A Queensland roof in January sits well above
that, and this coefficient is among the best available. A panel rated at 475 W
may deliver closer to 400 W in a hot afternoon, and the coefficient is what
    tells you how close.
  • 25-year product warranty and 30-year linear performance
    warranty
under the Australian terms: at least 99% of rated output in
year one, 88.85% at year 30, with degradation of 0.35% per year from year
    two.

Working with LONGi since 2020

Our business has been part of the LONGi supply chain since 2020, and we have
held formal channel authorisation from LONGi Green Energy since that year. We
mention it because almost nobody in Australia can.

Most installers buy panels from a distributor and have no relationship with
the manufacturer at all. When a module needs replacing, or a batch has a
question about its flash test report, the installer is guessing or waiting on
a third party. Having a direct line back to the manufacturer means the
answer comes from the people who made the panel.

It also means we can be straight with you about which module to buy. We fit
LONGi because it suits Queensland roofs, not because of an arrangement. When
a roof genuinely calls for something else, we say so and install that
instead.

What the numbers mean for your bill

A 6.65 kW array of 14 LONGi Hi-MO X10 Explorer modules produces roughly 27
to 30 kWh on a good Brisbane day, which is among the highest yields anywhere
in Australia. Ten to 22 modules take the same array to 10.45 kW or 13.32 kW.

For the smaller systems we also fit Seraphim panels where a roof shape
calls for a different form factor, and Jinko Tiger Neo where the budget is
the deciding factor. We will tell you which one to buy, including when the
answer is the cheaper one.

Why the installation matters more than the panel

A module is only as good as the system holding it up. We use rail systems
rather than point fixings, seal every penetration to the tile or corrugation
type on your roof, torque every clamp to specification, and photograph the
array before we leave. A roof with a cracked tile or a poorly sealed
penetration will cost more in the first five years than you saved on
hardware.

How we handle LONGi warranty claims

Manufacturer warranties require installation by an accredited installer, and
ours is CEC accredited. That accreditation is also the mechanism the federal
discount runs through, so it is not paperwork for its own sake — without it
there is no rebate and the LONGi warranty does not apply.

If something goes wrong with a LONGi panel, you call us. We lodge the claim
and manage it. You should not have to learn a manufacturer’s process to get a
replacement module.

Where we install LONGi

Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Ipswich — including the older suburbs with
original concrete tile and the newer estates designed with solar in mind.
Both need a different approach, and we do both every week.

Send us your address and a recent bill and we will quote it properly, with
the federal discount shown as a separate line so you can see exactly what you
are paying.
