System Packages

A system package is the easiest way to buy solar, and the easiest way to buy
the wrong system. Pre-built bundles are designed around an average household
that does not exist — your roof, your tariff, your evening load and your
switchboard are all different, and the package does not know any of that.

What a package actually gives you

A reputable package is a starting point, not a quotation. Ours specify the
equipment, the panel count, the inverter and the warranty in advance, so you
can see what is included and compare like for like. What they cannot include
is the design work, and the design work is where the money is either made or
lost.

Three things that are always site-specific

  1. The array size. A 6.65 kW package is 14 LONGi Hi-MO X10
Explorer 475 W modules. If your roof is north-facing, unshaded and generous,
13.32 kW might fit comfortably and pay back faster. If it is a small L-shaped
roof, 6.65 kW might already be optimistic.
  2. The inverter. Single phase for most Brisbane and Gold Coast
homes; three phase if you have heavy simultaneous loads or a three-phase
connection. SolaX X1-Hybrid G4 for single phase, X3-Hybrid G4 for three phase,
and the X1-VAST where a roof with several orientations needs more MPPT inputs.
  3. The switchboard. Older consumer units, fuse boxes and
limited spare ways change the cost more than any single piece of hardware. We
check this before we quote, not on installation day.

The package sizes we build

System Panels Typical use
6.65 kW 14 × 475 W Standard household, solar only or with a small battery
6.65 kW + battery 14 × 475 W The most common setup — covers the evening peak
10.45 kW 22 × 475 W Larger roofs, high daytime consumption, families home during the day
10.45 kW + battery 22 × 475 W Pool, ducted air conditioning, EV charging
13.32 kW + battery 28 × 475 W Maximum roof utilisation, larger households

Every package is quoted as a fixed price for the equipment and installation
as described, and we tell you in writing what is not included.

What is always included

  • CEC-accredited installation — this is the mechanism the
federal discount runs through, and manufacturer warranties require it.
  • 10-year workmanship warranty on the installation itself,
not just the parts. That covers us coming back and fixing what we did.
  • Full electrical certification lodged for you.
  • Commissioning and monitoring set up, so you can see what
the system is actually producing from your phone.
  • A plain-English handover explaining the inverter settings,
the app and what to do if something stops working.

What is not included

Switchboard upgrades, meter changes, asbestos removal and non-standard roof
access are quoted separately and only if they are genuinely needed. We will
tell you before we start, not after.

How much do solar packages cost in Brisbane

Solar only, 6.65 kW with LONGi Hi-MO X10 panels: typically $11,000 to $14,000
installed. With a 10 to 14 kWh battery, most Brisbane households land between
$16,000 and $22,000 before the federal discount, and the discount takes roughly
$2,500 to $3,500 off the battery.

Send us your address and a bill and we will quote the right configuration
for your roof and your usage, with the federal discount itemised so you can
see exactly what you are paying.
