About Us

Solar Time Energy is a Brisbane-based team of Clean Energy Council accredited installers. We work across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Ipswich, and we are the people who turn up at your property, drill the roof and commission the system.

That last part matters more than it sounds. Anyone can sell you a panel. The difference between a system that produces well for twenty-five years and one that does not is almost always in the details nobody sees: the flashing around a penetration, the torque on a rail, the labelling on a consumer unit, the commissioning sheet that was actually filled in.

What we do

We design, install and commission complete solar and storage systems for houses and small commercial sites — panels, inverters, batteries and EV chargers, installed as one system rather than a collection of parts bought from different suppliers. We handle the paperwork: the Small-scale Technology Certificate that creates your discount is processed by us as part of the job, so there is nothing for you to apply for and no rebate to chase afterwards.

What we install and why

We use LONGi and SolaX equipment, and the reason is not fashion. Both publish warranty terms that apply in Australia, both have support you can actually reach, and both have published Australian electrical certifications. When something needs servicing in year six, that matters more than a percentage point of efficiency on the spec sheet.

  • LONGi Hi-MO X10 Explorer — 475 W modules at 23.3% efficiency, on HPBC 2.0 back-contact cells. The point of a high-wattage module is simple: fewer panels, fewer roof penetrations and less racking for the same capacity on a roof that is already too small.
  • SolaX hybrid inverters — X1-Hybrid G4 for single phase, X3-Hybrid G4 for three phase, and the X1-VAST where a roof has multiple orientations and needs more than the usual two MPPT inputs.
  • SolaX Triple Power batteries — modular LFP storage from 7.3 kWh upward, sized to your actual evening load rather than to whatever fits a budget line.

How we price a system

From your actual usage, not from a package. A household in Chandler with ducted air conditioning, a pool pump and an EV on the driveway is a completely different system from a two-bedroom cottage in West End with the same annual bill. We start from a bill, look at the roof, work out what the array can physically be, and size the storage around the four o’clock-to-nine-o’clock window where the money is actually made.

We will also tell you when you do not need something. A 20 kWh battery is not twice as good as a 10 kWh one — the federal discount tapers above 14 kWh, and the extra storage costs closer to full price while cycling shallower. If your household will not use it, we would rather not put it in.

What we are certified for

  • Clean Energy Council accredited — this is the mechanism the federal discount runs through. An unaccredited installer means no rebate, and manufacturer warranties commonly void.
  • 10-year workmanship warranty on the installation itself, not just the parts. Salt air, movement and workmanship are our problem, not yours.
  • Fully accredited electrical work to current Australian standards, with the certification lodged for you.

Where we work

Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Ipswich — including the older suburbs where roofs are original concrete tile and switchboards are original fuse boxes, and the newer estates where the switchboard was designed with solar in mind. Both need a different approach, and we do both every week.

If you want a quote, call 1300 712 020 or send us your address and a recent bill. We will come back with a system sized to how you actually use power, with the federal discount shown as a separate line so you can see exactly what you are paying.

How we work

Our product range is deliberately narrow: LONGi Tier 1 solar panels, paired
with SolaX or Sungrow inverters and batteries. A narrow range is not a
limitation — it means we know how these systems behave on a Queensland
roof, and we are not learning on your installation.

Every system we quote is battery-ready from day one. Adding
storage later should not mean replacing the inverter as well, and the design
decision that prevents that is made before anything is ordered, not after.

Pricing, payment and finance

Pricing is transparent and given upfront, with the federal discount shown as
a separate line so you can see exactly what you are paying and what the
discount covers. The workmanship warranty runs for 10 years on the
installation itself, separate from the manufacturer warranty on the equipment.

Twelve months interest-free finance is available with $0 upfront,
provided by Pepper Money.
Approval is subject to Pepper Money’s credit
assessment and lending criteria, and terms and conditions apply. We will show
you the repayment figures before you sign anything, not after.

Extending the system later

EV charging for homes and businesses is part of what we install, and it is
worth planning at the same time as the solar rather than afterwards. A system
sized around an electric vehicle’s charging load is a different design from one
sized around a household’s daytime consumption, and retrofitting the difference
is the expensive way to do it.

Local, and giving back

We are a Brisbane business, and we sponsor the Runcorn Rockets Basketball
Club — the kind of local club that keeps a community together. That is
the sort of thing we would rather be known for than a bigger advertising
budget.
